The inspiration for this project came from a wonderful brief set by Florence Torrens at Thomas Pink. The idea was to use a white paper bar as a beautiful, clean white canvas with which the models could interact and bring ever-changing colour and contrast to the scene. Upon seeing the venue at the ICA we felt it was important to be sensitive to the existing features of the rooms. Our cues were taken from the venue’s Corinthian styling to form the basis of the bar’s design.
To dress the scene throughout the event FlowCreation also designed and manufactured lamps, teacups, glasses and vases of flowers made entirely from pure white paper. We also produced shirt cuffs made from paper with small cut lines used to imitate stitched hems, which were sent out as invitations.
